We want to share a few words about God’s faithfulness. Our hope is that it will encourage you as you
stand with us in reaching the unreached of the world for Jesus.
In the 1980’s as we were walking through Central India we
met a young University student from Ethiopia.
He trained himself using our BASIC Studies. While he was in India he teamed up with some
other students and started several church fellowships. After
he returned to Ethiopia he shared our material with the church there. It was part of what God used to make The
Church in Ethiopia the fastest growing church in the world during 1990’s.
Today we are having our new learning booklets translated
into Amharic (the language of Ethiopia) by another young man from Ethiopia we're training who has a heart to reach the unreached. The University student we met in India (who is now a married man with children living in L.A., CA) is checking the new translations. Here is a brief excerpt of what he shared with us about how God is using him.
"I always pray for you and the family and
never forget the impact of your walk with the
Lord on my Life.
The Lord has continued to show His
faithfulness and in Nov, 2013 I'll be
traveling to Ethiopia for the first time
since we moved to the US 12 years ago!
I'll be traveling to celebrate with some
founding members of the church that
was planted in a city called Bahir Dar
some 20 years ago (after I returned from
India). That church has grown into many
local churches (with which I had a lot of
involvement) in two regions surrounding
Bahir Dar.
The translation is very accurate (you know
I've used the material in those churches for
new believers, except I could not bring it
together the way it's done now)."
This testimony shows how God is faithful to take what we do each day in obedience to Him and build His Kingdom. Please continue to stand with us as we do God's work in Ethiopia and other places. Our efforts are never wasted when we seek to do what God wants us to do in obedience to His Spirit.
God's blessings on you as you follow Jesus.
